We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the team in Brisbane, with mainly on-site work. Preferably experience in the health sector.

What you will be doing

  • Leading one or more medium to large sized infrastructure projects with low to moderate complexity and owning the book of business for those projects
  • Creating and implementing project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives
  • Preparing detailed statements of work and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gain concurrence and approval, and negotiating / managing variations as required
  • Ensuring adherence by your project teams of relevant project management policy and procedures as part of delivery assurance review process
  • Assisting in managing aspects of larger customer programs of work
  • Working with the broader DXC Technology project teams on the design, integration and delivery of the best technology solutions.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Experience with delivering billable projects to direct customers and taking ownership of all project deliverables
  • Infrastructure experience in one of data networks, data centres, EUC and voice
  • Strong financial management, including ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved
  • Strong resource management, including initial staffing, team formation, engagement and collaboration
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Robust change management skills covering technical, business and scope changes in a project
  • Effective planning, running and metrics reporting for customer steerco meetings and project team meetings
  • Leadership and management of robust risk identification, assessment, management and control

The qualification / skills you will bring

  • Project management qualifications or certification (Prince2, PMI, Agile)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
  • Six or more years of experience in project management
  • Experience working for Systems Integrator or Service Provider
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.

  • Good understanding of project governance,
  • Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
  • Willingness to travel
  • Driven mostly by client requirements
  • Could occasionally involve after hours or weekend work depending on the project/client/team location
