Assistant Project Officer, Intergovernmental Relations

The Policy and Funding Reform and Intergovernmental Relations Unit, which is part of the Government Relations, Strategy, Violence and Prevention Branch is seeking expressions of interest for a Temporary Assistant Project Officer up until December 2025.

This is a great opportunity to work in the Intergovernmental Relations team which sits within the Policy and Funding Reform, and Intergovernmental Relations Unit.

The role of the Assistant Project Officer, Intergovernmental Relations, provides comprehensive high-level administrative and project support functions across the Policy and Funding Reform and Intergovernmental Relations Unit and, to a limited extent, across the Government Relations, Strategy and Violence Prevention Branch. The role supports coordination of strategic policy input on national health funding and governance reform to create opportunities to transform the NSW Health system and shape improvements to national health reform and funding arrangements, within the context NSW Health's priorities and broader Government objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing and tracking correspondence through the Unit's inboxes and seeking additional information or clarification from the author if required.
  • Delivering a comprehensive range of project support functions, including collation of various briefing materials, scheduling meetings, preparing briefing templates and assisting with responding to various requests for information.
  • Actively engaging and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in cross-jurisdictional networks including Commonwealth and state and territory governments and independent national bodies, to support the smooth operation of intergovernmental matters.
  • Managing information systems including Convene and Content Manager.
