About the Role

We're seeking an S/4HANA Data Migration Specialist to join a major ERP Resilience Program, a multi-year transformation initiative stabilising and optimising the ERP landscape in preparation for a brownfield transition to SAP S/4HANA.

This is a 6-month contract paying up to $1,100 per day inclusive of super, with a high potential for extension. Based in Perth, the role offers the opportunity to play a central technical role in data migration and cutover activities, ensuring business-critical systems transition seamlessly with minimal disruption.

In this hands-on position, you'll design and execute extraction routines, build and optimise ETL jobs, and develop technical documentation to support a smooth migration lifecycle. Working closely with the Systems Integrator (SI), internal teams, and stakeholders, you'll help shape the cutover strategy, manage risks, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

You Should Have

  • Proven experience in data migration and ETL development using SAP Data Services
  • Strong skills in data extraction, profiling, and transformation from ERP systems (preferably GTS and RLM)
  • Ability to deliver data mapping documents, extraction specs, and technical design documentation
  • Experience ensuring data integrity, consistency, and traceability across the migration lifecycle
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders, delivery partners, and business units
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to SAP S/4HANA Brownfield Conversion projects
  • Experience working with systems integrators and external vendors
  • Knowledge of data lineage, audit trails, and compliance requirements in ERP environments
  • Background in large-scale ERP transformation initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute data extraction routines from GTS, RLM, and other ERP systems
  • Perform data profiling to assess quality, completeness, and transformation needs
  • Build and optimise ETL jobs in SAP Data Services
  • Develop and maintain data mapping, extraction specifications, and technical design documents
  • Support the creation of data lineage and audit trails to meet compliance standards
  • Collaborate with functional teams, internal stakeholders, and the Systems Integrator to ensure smooth migration and cutover execution
  • Help coordinate and oversee cutover activities aligned to business priorities and risk management strategies
