Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver the design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S Program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.
About Us
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, servicestream utilities, servicestream maintenance and WSP. Over a 10 year period, D4C will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry. We are seeking motivated, talented and driven individuals to join D4C and welcome people from a diverse background to apply.
 We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our D4C team based in our Redfern office. Reporting into the Business Performance & Commercial Lead, you'll be responsible for all costs relating to D4C projects, from initial calculations to the final figures.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the Business Performance & Commercial Lead and Client
Undertake cost analysis for repair/maintenance and construction project work
Participate in identification and quantification of Head Contracts
Draft scopes of works and tender packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects
Minimise all subcontractor variation claims and elimination of claims where possible
Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any costs issues immediately upon identification
Interpret specifications and drawings to understand scope of works for the project at Head Contract and Subcontract scope level
Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls

**To be successful, you'll have the following**:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Administrator in the construction and engineering industry
Experience with a variety of project values and complexity
NEC experience is desirable
