We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production and Treatment Scheduler for an initial contract. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and assigning operational work to ensure efficient resource utilisation, compliance with quality standards, and smooth delivery of services.

Role Overview:
The Production and Treatment Scheduler will plan, coordinate, and monitor operational work across production and treatment functions. You will develop work plans, manage scheduling processes, and support operational teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and effective resource allocation. This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder collaboration, and a focus on continuous improvement.

You are highly organised, confident in managing scheduling processes, and able to balance competing priorities. With strong IT literacy and data analysis skills, you thrive in structured, process-driven environments. You're also collaborative, customer-focused, and able to engage with stakeholders to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective scheduling services that optimise resource utilisation and support operational requirements
- Develop and manage short- and medium-term work plans, including backlog capture and follow-up activities
- Support compliance by aligning work order scheduling with quality standards
- Coordinate resources, information, and contractors to meet operational needs
- Provide reporting for production and maintenance activities
- Partner with managers and coordinators to review, improve, and optimise scheduling processes
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure high-impact operational events are effectively planned and managed to minimise risk
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration or equivalent experience (essential)
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills with knowledge of Works Management Systems and dispatch tools (essential)
- Strong IT literacy and the ability to apply new business applications (essential)
- Effective communication skills with a strong customer focus (essential)
- Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining high service and quality standards (essential)
- Knowledge of water or wastewater operations is desirable
