Our Company

Mackellar is one of Australia's largest mining equipment & service contractors in Mining and Civil Earthmoving. We are the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine and together we are creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland.

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Health Advisor to play an integral role the day-to-day operations at one of our largest projects. Work an 8/6 roster with flights available from Rockhampton or Townsville.

About the role

The Health Advisor is responsible for providing advice, education and assistance to prevent injuries in the workplace. In the event of a workplace injury the health advisor is responsible for managing the injury in accordance with their skills and knowledge in conjunction with a range of health professionals.

  • Work collaboratively with key personnel on all aspects of activities relating to injury prevention, rehabilitation initiatives, and safe return to work
  • Conduct regular workplace ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations on injury prevention strategies
  • Work closely with the worker and the RTW Coordinator on developing return to work management plans
  • Proactively engage with workers through the development and promotion of wellbeing and lifestyle initiatives and programs
  • Review and monitor the effectiveness of processes and workforce programs.

You will need

  • A qualification in Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination (QLD)
  • Experience in Workers' Compensation and Injury Management
  • Current Standard 11 and CBM
  • Current Queensland driver licence.
