Mackellar is the mining services contractor and is creating opportunities for regional NSW.

We are looking to expand our Safety team with a new role, based in Nyngan. As our Safety Advisor, you will focus on promoting high safety and health standards while also achieving operational outcomes. These roles are critical to our success on this project and will work in conjunction with supervisors and managers to ensure an excellent safety record is maintained through instilling a strong safety culture and open communication on site. Responsibilities of this role include:

- Show strong commitment to achieving high safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture
- Provide technical safety support and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Complying with a HSE management system
- Assist with the development, review and improvement of the health & safety management system and work procedures
- Assisting in the close out of corrective actions from inspections, audits and investigations are implemented
- Developing and implementing site-specific safety strategies and initiatives
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly

Requirements for this role include:

- An understanding of risk management
- An ability to analyse information and implement solutions to problems prior to them eventuating
- The ability to communicate and influence all levels in a workplace
- A good attention to detail
- A background in a high-risk industry would be highly regarded
- Driver licence
