SAP ECC Technical Consultant:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled SAP ECC Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects in collaboration with industry-leading clients.

About the Role:

As a
SAP ECC Technical Consultant (SAP ERP Central Component)
you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimising SAP solutions that power critical business operations. Leveraging your expertise in ABAP programming, SAP extractors, and back-end database performance, you will troubleshoot complex issues, drive efficiency across data flows, and enable seamless data integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programs aligned with evolving business requirements.
• Customise and optimise SAP ECC standard extractors for downstream reporting and data warehousing solutions.
• Analyse and interpret SAP system log files to resolve technical issues and identify root causes.
• Improve back-end database performance (DB2 preferred), with a focus on query tuning, indexing, and monitoring.
• Partner with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert in SAP ECC integrations, data extraction, and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to data migration, transformation, and integration initiatives using both SAP and non-SAP ETL tools.
• Support transition projects to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a SAP ECC Technical Consultant.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in ABAP programming (reports, enhancements, user exits, BADIs, etc.).
• Expertise in customising SAP ECC standard extractors.
• Solid ability to analyse SAP system log files and resolve performance challenges.
• Knowledge of back-end database optimisation, ideally with DB2.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of retail industry processes and data flows.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and data migration strategies.
• Exposure to SAP BW/4HANA or other data warehouse technologies.
