Cook - Children's Services

THE JOB

Council is currently seeking a childcare cook who will be responsible for planning and providing nutritionally balanced menus for children in care, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment and monitoring stock control and ensuring individual children's allergies and intolerances are catered for.

We are looking for someone who is organised, able to work well with others and with a passion for food preparation and children's health and safety. Ideally the successful candidate would have previous experience in this type of work however we are open to applications from those who are passionate, capable and keen to learn.

This is a permanent part time position working Thursday and Friday each week for 6 hours from 8.30am to 3.00pm. Additional hours may be available on an ad hoc basis.

This position requires a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) verifying suitability to work in childcare.

THE BENEFITS

• Fortnightly salary range of $737.35 to $829.89 per fortnight (gross) plus 12% superannuation. Salary offered within the range will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills and experience.
• Access to long service leave after 5 years.
• General leave entitlements including 15 days sick/personal leave, 2 days health and wellbeing leave per year and paid parental leave.
• Remote area salary sacrifice options available.
