The Opportunity
With a confirmed pipeline of truly exciting city-shaping projects, our Brisbane design studio is looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of a Senior Landscape Architect who is interested in heling to grow our people, work directly with our clients and use their expertise and skills to deliver major projects to the community.

We're seeking a skilled and purpose driven Senior Landscape Architect, passionate about cities and people who has a keen interest in playing a role in some of Brisbane's major urban regeneration projects. To thrive in this role, you will have experience coordinating and collaborating with others on urban built form projects using 3D modelling software including Revit.

You Will

  • Participate in creative landscape and public realm design; and deliver input into multiple projects from concept stage through to design development, production, and documentation.
  • Lead the coordination and collaboration of landscape related items with architects, clients and engineers.
  • Contribute to financial management of project budgets with Project Lead.
  • Prepare creative and thoughtful design ideas that can be developed further by the team.
  • Applying a strong understanding of landscape architecture and construction processes (phases, deliverables, contract documents, and client expectations), with creative landscape and public realm design input from concept through to design development, documentation, and construction administration.
  • Demonstrating a well-developed understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes, and industry standards as applicable to each project.
  • Attending meetings with clients, consultants, industry representatives, and internal team members to support effective project delivery and client engagement.
  • Supporting fellow team members in meeting project requirements and contributing to the promotion of the firm and its services to generate business opportunities.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture at a graduate or post graduate level.
  • Minimum 4 – 8 years relevant experience, ideally gained in a private practice or with local council or government.
  • Communicates graphically at an advanced level using both digital and hand drawn formats to convey design ideas, concepts and documentation
  • Brings an understanding of design and construction principles and the ability to apply them in the urban environment on and around built form.
  • Competent and efficient using industry standard software including Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.
  • Experience using SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion and other 3D modelling software will also be favourable for this role.
  • Successfully manages priorities and expectations;
  • Demonstrates adaptability when dealing with problems and changes to priorities.
