The Opportunity

OUr client is a large Federal Governemnt Department that is requires 2 APS6 Foreign Policy Officer/Analysts, to join a high-performing policy team supporting Australia's Pacific engagement agenda. You'll contribute to research and analysis, program management and administration, data/ICT coordination, and the production of concise briefs for senior stakeholders. The engagement is initially 6 months with a 6-month extension option, targeting a January 2025 start. NV2 clearance required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake foreign policy research and analysis to inform Pacific engagement.
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting for leadership programs.
  • Deliver data analytics, database input/coordination and high-quality briefs.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Foster a positive, collegial team culture and share capability across the team.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated policy research/analysis capability and sound judgement in complex environments.
  • Experience in program management/implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of ICT systems/administration (desirable).

Security Clearance

You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV2 clearance.
