The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Brisbane office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, applying your technical expertise in a supportive and innovative environment.

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design, consultancy, and project management services to clients including:

  • LV distribution design including the development of maximum demand calculations, single line diagrams etc.
  • Specification of switchboards and motor control centres (MCC's), including design of solutions incorporating varied functional requirements, drives and power electronics.
  • Control system design including the development of control system architectures and instrumentation design.
  • Preparation of engineering reports and specifications.
  • Leading electrical design teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Electrical design drafting.

About you

  • 5 plus years' relevant experience.
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or relevant training and experience.
  • Commitment to positive health, safety and environment outcomes.
  • Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Commitment to high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and effectively in a team, facilitating information transfer, and coordinating with other team members.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of own work and work of others.
  • Experience designing for hazardous areas or machine safety is highly regarded.
  • CPEng or RPEQ registration is preferred, though candidates actively working towards or intending to obtain CPEng will be considered.
