Electrical Engineer

The role:

As an Electrical Engineer at CV Infrastructure Services, you will be primarily responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical and telecommunications systems, working closely with internal design, drafting, and project teams. While the role is office-based, it includes occasional site visits to verify existing conditions, support design development, and coordinate with the construction team.

What you'll be doing:

• · Design and review LV electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and switchboard single-line diagrams.
• · Perform lighting (AGi32) and power (PowerCAD) calculations and assessments for new and existing installations.
• · Develop engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation in collaboration with CAD drafters.
• · Coordinate with the HV Engineer, internal construction team, and external authorities (Energex, Ergon, NBN).
• · Provide technical support during construction and contribute to Safety in Design (SiD) reviews.
• · Ensure all designs comply with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1158, AS/NZS 61439, and AS/NZS 11801 standards.

What you'll have:

• · Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• · years' experience in AS/NZS 3000-compliant LV electrical design, ideally across infrastructure or building services projects.
• · Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32, and PowerCAD.
• · Understanding of structured cabling, security systems, and authority coordination.
• · Ability to translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
• · Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.

This role is ideal for electrical engineers with AS/NZS 3000 design experience, or those with practical electrical and construction knowledge seeking to develop their design engineering capability. Comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided to support growth in lighting, power distribution, and authority coordination.
