THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Automation Engineer to join the Brisbane team within our Automation Group.

In this role, you will work on diverse, technically challenging projects and contribute across the full project lifecycle — from tendering to commissioning. Based in Brisbane, you'll deliver technical excellence, support staff and clients, and contribute directly to project delivery, in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will be a technical specialist with the ability to organise and deliver high quality outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Electrical, Mechatronic or Automation Engineering, or relevant training and experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality engineering work.
• Proficient delivery of control system automation projects, including PLC, RTU, HMI and SCADA experience
• Strong safety focus by adhering to and promoting all Cromarty Automation safety policies and procedures.
• Committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Effective communication, documentation and professional organisation skills.
• Maintain professional currency by staying abreast of current Electrical & Automation engineering best practice.

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

• Industrial/manufacturing environment experience.
• Understanding of Low voltage electrical and control systems.
• MES platforms experience.
• Proficiency in various programming environments such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
• Understanding of Networking and Cybersecurity
