If you're the kind of person who loves variety and genuinely enjoys helping people succeed, you'll fit right in here.

EIT is growing fast, and our VET programs are no exception. As our new VET Learning Support Officer, you'll be at the heart of the action supporting students,  making sure courses run smoothly, and keeping our systems and compliance in top shape.

This isn't a background admin role. This is a front facing, relationship driven position where you'll have a direct impact on student success and the quality of our courses.

What You'll Do

Student & Instructor Support

  • Act as a key point of contact and engagement for students and instructors, delivering timely and professional responses to enquiries.

  • Monitor and support student progress, identifying underperformance, counselling students where appropriate, and implementing interventions to support retention and success.

  • Provide training and guidance to lecturers and students in the effective use of digital learning platforms, enhancing online learning and engagement.

Course Coordination & Delivery

  • Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of allocated courses, including scheduling webinars, liaising with academic staff, compiling and distributing course materials, and issuing certificates.

  • Oversee student registrations by reviewing applications, enrolling students into allocated programs, and ensuring all records are accurate and compliant.

  • Assist with academic scheduling, contributing to the preparation of timetables and ensuring information is accurately updated in internal systems and on the website.

  • Maintain and enhance the Moodle learning management system, ensuring course information, resources, and student data are accurate and accessible.

  • Update student data on the Student Management system – Paradigm.

Administration & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with the College Manager and peers, offering operational support, sharing expertise, and contributing to strategic projects.

  • Assist with financial processes, including reconciliation and course-related accounts activities.

  • Support broader College operations as required, demonstrating flexibility and initiative in undertaking ad hoc tasks and projects.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Undertake quality assurance activities by proactively reviewing course delivery, systems, and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with the Standards for 2025 Standards for RTOs, identifying gaps and recommending solutions to meet or exceed requirements.

  • Apply and embed organisational policies and procedures to ensure consistent practice across the College.

  • Contribute to compliance oversight by reviewing the work of peers to ensure consistent standards, providing constructive feedback, and recommending improvements.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, taking an active role in enhancing systems, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency, student outcomes, and service quality.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of solid admin experience - bonus points if it's in education or a busy service-based environment.
  • A genuine customer-service mindset and the communication skills to back it up.
  • Tech-savvy, curious, and quick to learn new systems (Moodle, Paradigm, Microsoft Teams, BigBlueButton and if you haven't used them, you're not afraid to learn).
  • A good understanding of or interest in compliance in the VET sector, especially the 2025 Standards for RTOs.
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or a willingness to obtain it with our support.
