Join Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) as the Manager Asset Management and lead the strategic, operational and tactical adoption of best-practice asset management across a modern statewide emergency service. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong working knowledge of asset class strategies and practical application of the DTF Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).
As FRV's asset management expert, you will drive organisational change, strengthen governance, and contribute to capital planning, financial analysis and projects that enhance capability across 85 stations. This is a high-impact role supporting FRV's mission to protect Victorian communities through strong, future-focused asset stewardship.

About the Role
The position will drive the strategic adoption of asset management as a key enabler to organisational success, introduce best practice policies and practices that support the strategic asset management aims, drive organisational change to align tactical practices with
strategic intent, and support FRV's successful attestation to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF). The
position links asset management with project management, conducts detailed financial analysis of asset renewal proposals and contributes to the organisations capital
program for asset funding.
What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
· Tertiary qualifications in engineering (of similar field) and/or equivalent industry experience.
· Post Graduate qualifications in Asset Management principals will be highly regarded.
· Membership of a relevant industry body will be highly regarded.
· Significant demonstrated experience working at a strategic level interpreting organisational strategic and business plans to deliver against those outcomes.
· Extensive experience in asset management at a whole-of-organisation level.
· Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders to adopt best practice methods and deliver strategic outcomes.
· Expert financial analysis skills as it relates to asset and capital works management.
