relationally oriented and dynamically focused practice
, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens in the context of relationships — between therapist and client, within families, couples, friendships, and across broader systems.

While our foundations emphasise relational thinking, we actively encourage clinicians to pursue and integrate their own practice orientation. This allows each psychologist to bring their unique therapeutic lens, while also engaging in a culture that values shared reflection, formulation, and professional growth. Models such as
Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
and other integrative approaches shape our framework, but we welcome diversity in practice styles that align with our values.

Role Description

As an Indepenent Psychologist Contractor at B Psychology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to individuals, couples or families across the lifespan and with diverse groups. This independent contractor position offers the opportunity to enjoy the autonomy of private practice while benefiting from the support, resources, and reputation of an established, values-driven and relationally orientated psychology practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop biopsychosocial formulations to create tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide psychological services to clients across the lifespan and from diverse groups.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g., CAT, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, ACT, mindfulness-based therapies, CBT, Schema Therapy, DBT).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as General Practitioners, Psychiatrists and Social Workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain detailed client records and correspondence.
  • Engage in regular supervision and professional development, supported by our supervision contribution program.
  • Uphold APS and AHPRA ethical standards while delivering compassionate, client-centred care.

What we're looking for

  • Current general registration with AHPRA
  • Experience with conducting psychological assessments.
  • Experience with using evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and high standards of clinical practice.
