As a
Solution Architect
, you'll do more than design systems. You'll help
guide the business on its digital journey
, providing both vision and technical oversight across our hotels, tour desks, guest services, and enterprise platforms.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels,

Where you'll make an impact

  • Lead the design of end-to-end technology solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Architect scalable and secure systems to support guest-facing services such as booking engines, loyalty programmes, and mobile apps, as well as internal operations including POS, CRM, and PMS.
  • Evaluate and select application frameworks, integration patterns, and data flows across a mix of legacy and modern systems.
  • Produce high-quality architectural artefacts, including system diagrams, data models, sequence diagrams, and deployment models.
  • Act as the bridge between business and IT, guiding stakeholders and teams on the journey and ensuring the why behind technology decisions is understood.
  • Provide technical oversight across critical programmes supporting hotels, tours, and guest services.
  • Assess current-state systems and processes, identifying opportunities to modernise and recommending future-state architectures.
  • Contribute to and support the delivery of Hamilton Island's digital strategy.

What we're looking for

You will be an experienced Solution Architect, with a solid understanding of how businesses operate and the ability to engage with stakeholders to uncover needs and pain points. With excellent communication and collaboration skills, you know how to take people on the journey and build alignment across technical and non-technical teams.

You will have experience designing and delivering solutions in complex environments, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or service industries, and bring strong knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. Ideally, you come from a diverse background and have supported organisations through significant digital and business transformations, giving you the insight and adaptability to bridge strategy and execution across all areas of the business.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Architecture or Cloud certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect) (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technical roles, including 5+ years in solution and/or enterprise architecture, ideally within a large and complex environment
  • Deep expertise in designing end-to-end solutions that bridge business needs with technical implementation
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, systems integration, data architecture, and cloud-native design
  • Comfortable navigating complex technology environments with legacy systems and new digital platforms
  • Ability to articulate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Pragmatic problem-solver with a strong desire to innovate and modernize
  • Passionate about user experience, system performance, and operational efficiency
