Pembroke School is seeking a passionate and supportive Inclusive Education Assistant to join our team in 2026. Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP).

The School employs over 300 permanent and fixed-term staff plus more than 150 casual employees.

About the Role
As an Inclusive Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and wellbeing of students across Years 7–12. Working under the direction of the Head of Inclusive Education, you will provide individualised and small group support, assist with learning strategies, and help foster student independence and confidence in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Work with individual students and small groups under direction to support engagement and achievement.
- Assist students with Individual Learning Plans and those with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
- Provide learning support by reinforcing skills, concepts, and instructions in class activities.
- Liaise with teachers and Inclusive Education staff to provide feedback on student progress.
- Support students with approved special provisions during assessments and exams.
- Maintain accurate records of student support and contribute to case notes and progress monitoring.

You are an empathetic, adaptable, and proactive professional with a genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs. With strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, you are motivated to help students thrive both academically and personally.
You will bring:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Calm, dependable, and resilient in supporting students with diverse needs.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and ability to encourage independence and confidence in students.
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in an educational setting (highly regarded).
- Proficiency in using technology to support learning and administration.
