About Us:

We are a busy and growing café in East Perth, well-known for our quality food and excellent service. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie – Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team.

Position Overview:

As a Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards, and ensuring smooth service during peak hours. You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food while upholding food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present breakfast dishes to a high standard.
  • Ensure consistency in portioning, taste, and presentation.
  • Assist in planning and creating breakfast menu items.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely service.
  • Support other kitchen sections when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie, Breakfast Chef, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch-style cooking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations in Australia.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
