The Role: Senior Estimator
We're on the lookout for an experienced Senior Estimator who thrives on accuracy, leadership, and delivering high-value tenders. You'll be a critical player in our team—leading the estimation process for low voltage switchboards while supporting strategic growth and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce clear, detailed estimates.
- Develop precise costings for labour, materials, and equipment.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality tenders and quotations.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to optimise cost-efficiency.
- Identify risks and integrate mitigation strategies into your estimates.
- Oversee the Quote Register, track opportunities, and drive conversions.
- Review completed projects for estimating accuracy and future improvements.
- Mentor junior estimators, delegate tasks, and foster team growth.
- Refine and enhance estimating tools, systems, and workflows.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in mining, electrical switchboards, or related industries.
- Deep knowledge of low voltage switchboard design and construction (AS61439 familiarity essential).
- Proficiency in estimating software and AutoCAD (a plus).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- A sharp eye for detail, strong financial acumen, and commercial awareness.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
- Experience mentoring and leading teams
