Your next career opportunity
As a Research Ethics Officer, you'll have the opportunity to play a vital role in the University's research ethics process. You'll manage the end-to-end administration of ethics applications, provide support to ethics committees, and offer guidance to researchers. This role allows you to contribute directly to maintaining high standards of research integrity while developing your skills in a dynamic university environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Ethics Applications: Administer the end-to-end process for research ethics applications, reports, and submissions.
- Support Ethics Committees: Provide administrative support to University ethics committees, including meeting management and documentation.
- Advise Researchers: Offer clear, accurate advice on ethics processes and compliance requirements to researchers and reviewers.
- Facilitate Communication: Engage directly with researchers throughout the ethics application process, communicating committee feedback and decisions.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills, experience in managing applications or committees, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
You may also:
- Have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience.
- Possess experience in managing end-to-end administration of applications requiring review and decision-making.
- Have experience providing administrative support to decision-making committees.
- Demonstrate knowledge of research ethics guidelines or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
- Excel at providing clear and accurate advice on institutional policies and procedures.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
