**The opportunity**:
The National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE) is seeking a highly motivated Research Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role supports the establishment and ongoing implementation of multiple clinical research trials and studies focused on allergy prevention and management, across food, drug, insect, and respiratory allergies.
About your new team
NACE is a key initiative funded by the Federal Government, with a $10.2M investment aimed at accelerating allergy research and training the next generation of researchers. The Centre is a partnership between Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and leading health stakeholders, working to address the growing allergy epidemic in Australia through cutting-edge research and clinical trials.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Oversee study compliance and implementation of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and regulations.
Manage budgets for the NACE trials and studies, and track expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Supervise and mentor a growing team, including Research Assistants and Project Assistants, with potential expansion to Study Coordinators and Data Officers.
Lead the development of trial protocols, patient consent forms, and SOPs.
Coordinate site initiation, staff training, and ongoing study monitoring to ensure project milestones are met.
Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical sites, research partners, and funding bodies.
**What we need from you**:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Nursing, Science, Biomedical), Postgraduate qualifications desirable.
At least 5 years of experience in clinical trial/study management, including managing multiple trials simultaneously.
Experience with electronic research data systems (e.g., REDCap, EPIC, Cerner) is highly desirable.
Leadership and people management skills with the ability to coordinate large teams across multiple sites.
Knowledge of ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and NHMRC guidelines.
Ability to travel interstate for monitoring visits (approximately 2-4 times per year).
