Head Mechanic

Role Overview:

ETS are currently seeking a skilled and driven Head Mechanic to join our team at our Inverell workshop in New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and National Fleet and Maintenance Manager to identify areas for improvement in workshop and fleet maintenance activities.

• Coordinate tasks such as routine maintenance, breakdowns, and one-off inspections for both oneself and other mechanics/apprentices, providing job cards and service sheets.

• Ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed to the required standards within specified deadlines according to ETS policies and procedures.

• Supervise workshop activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe completion of work.

• Manage weekly parts ordering for maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possession of relevant mechanical trade qualifications.

• Valid driver's licence (Heavy rigid licence highly desirable).

• Demonstrated experience working with diesel trucks and hydraulic equipment.

• Technical understanding of EWP's, utes, chippers, and vegetation maintenance equipment.

• Hands-on experience in mechanical and hydraulic engineering is highly regarded.

• Previous experience in team supervision and leadership.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong focus on safety.
