About the role

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2026.

As Senior Project Officer in the Suburbs team, you'll play a central role in developing and delivering metropolitan and statewide grant programs such as Pick My Park, Growing Suburbs Fund and Tiny Towns. You'll manage projects through the full lifecycle, from program design and assessment to monitoring, review and reporting, ensuring outcomes that benefit communities across Victoria. The role will also support the design and implementation of future grant programs, underpinned by data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

We're looking for a motivated and outcomes-driven project professional with experience delivering grants programs, community projects, or planning initiatives. You'll bring strong skills in project management, policy development, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to balance competing priorities and collaborate effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver metropolitan and statewide grant programs, including project design, assessment, monitoring and review.

• Undertake research, data analysis and mapping to support program planning and evaluation.

• Collaborate with local government, delivery partners and stakeholders to overcome project challenges.

• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and procurement documentation.

Qualifications and experience

• Tertiary qualification in urban planning, public policy or a related field (desirable).

• Previous experience in grants programs, planning or Victorian government contexts (desirable).

• Familiarity with government data sources and systems for research and analysis (desirable).
