We are seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 4-star motel in Armidale, NSW. The role involves managing front desk, reservations, and housekeeping services; supervising and rostering staff; maintaining high guest satisfaction; monitoring budgets; liaising with suppliers; and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key duties include:

  • overseeing all aspects of the motel's operations, serving as the primary point of contact for guests, staff, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes.
  • Managing reservations and guest relations.
  • Supervising and training staff.
  • Handling budgets, expenses, and supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining property presentation and compliance.
  • Handling opening and closing duties, ensuring daily operational readiness and secure nightly shutdowns.
  • Ensure and provide guests with up-to-date local tourism information, and coordinate tour bookings and transportation arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in front office operations, night auditing, or a similar role within motel or hotel management (preferably 2+ years).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and reservations systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/public holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
