Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 4-star motel in Armidale, NSW. The role involves managing front desk, reservations, and housekeeping services; supervising and rostering staff; maintaining high guest satisfaction; monitoring budgets; liaising with suppliers; and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the motel's operations, serving as the primary point of contact for guests, staff, and suppliers.
  • Ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes.
  • Manage reservations and guest relations.
  • Supervise and train staff.
  • Handle budgets, expenses, and supplier relationships.
  • Maintain property presentation and compliance.
  • Manage opening and closing duties, ensuring daily operational readiness and secure nightly shutdowns.
  • Ensure and provide guests with up-to-date local tourism information, and coordinate tour bookings and transportation arrangements.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years experience in front office operations, night auditing, or a similar role within motel or hotel management.
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and reservations systems.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, service-oriented attitude are essential in this role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/public holidays.
