The College
The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC) is a coeducational Kindergarten to Year 12 school with an enrolment of approximately 1200 students. TSAC is a leading independent school in the rapidly developing growth corridor of South West Brisbane. Just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD, the College comprises of two campuses, dedicated to Primary and Secondary schooling, respectively.
The College's OSHC is a vibrant service which operates on the Primary Campus, caring primarily for Early Years students (Early Years ABCC) and Primary aged students (ABCC). ABCC provides care for our students during school terms and school vacation periods.
The Role
The Springfield Anglican College is seeking a dedicated and suitably qualified Assistant Director / Educational Leader for our After and Before College Care (ABCC) facility. This is a Full Time Permanent position. You will work closely with the Director to lead and support our team of Educators, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service. Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience as an Assistant Director in an OSHC or Child Care facility and be dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our students and families.
About You
To be successful for this role you will have:

A two year, post-secondary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (e.g. diploma level or higher) or an equivalent ACECQA approved qualification

Queensland Working with Children Paid Blue Card
-
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates suitable for Early Childhood
-
Understanding of the Education and Care National Law and Regulations
-
Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to assist in ensuring quality practices and outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Primary through the Director of ABCC and Early Years ABCC you will be responsible for the following objectives:

Actively supervise, interact, and engage with the College's students, providing learning opportunities for them as appropriate in an OSHC environment.

Contribute to the overall administration of the facility.

Proven commitment to facilitating the learning and development of children in an outside school hours care environment, including Early Years.

Greet families and communicate with children and their parents to enhance well established partnerships between families and the service, and to develop new partnerships with future families in a highly professional manner.

Ability to support, mentor and lead a team of educators in the absence of the Director.
-
Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.

Administer simple first aid to children.
-
Ensure the appropriate supervision of children at all times – inside and outside of College buildings.

Assist with registration of children on arrival and departure from the service.
