About the Role

This is a market-facing Liability Underwriter role where you'll combine your technical underwriting expertise with strong relationship management skills. You'll be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of liability business, engaging directly with brokers to provide sound underwriting solutions and identify growth opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Underwrite and assess liability risks in line with company guidelines and delegated authority limits
  • Review, negotiate, and issue terms for new business, renewals, and endorsements
  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships through proactive communication and market engagement
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities in partnership with brokers
  • Provide exceptional service that exceeds broker and client expectations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitors, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support portfolio growth and profitability

We are looking for someone with: 

  • Proven experience in liability underwriting
  • Strong broker relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 accreditation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Collaborative mindset and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
