This role will suit legal practitioners with experience working for, or within, government in areas involving personal injury litigation.Our General Insurance team advises on and manages a diverse portfolio of claims for many Australian and international insurers and underwriters, government departments and public sector entities and self-insured corporations. Our team routinely handles claims that are complex, technically challenging and high profile. Our team in Melbourne is part of our national General Insurance practice - a collaborative, collegiate and high performing team.About YouYou will ideally have the following skills and experience:minimum 3 years of post-admission experience in defendant litigation/insurance law;experience advising government or public entities in personal injury matters or coronial inquests, or alternatively experience working in a government department;experience managing personal injury claims;experience supervising, mentoring and delegating to junior lawyers or paralegals;strong technical ability and attention to detail; andstrong negotiation and advocacy skills.About UsHall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
