The Opportunity

Whiz Kidz Early Learning Centre & Pre School, is seeking an experienced 2iC / Educational Leader to join our brand new 80-place centre. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational programming and curriculum development at our brand new purpose-built service due to open end of May 2025. As this is a dual role the ideal candidate would enjoy being on the floor as well as Educational Leader responsibilities.

Our service will operate Monday to Friday 6.30am - 6.30pm 52 weeks of the year. This position is fulltime, working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and management of the centre
  • Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational program, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Mentor and coach educators, supporting their professional development and performance
  • Collaborate with the team to create engaging learning environments that foster children's learning and development
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with families, building strong partnerships to support children's learning

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • A minimum of 2yrs experience in Educational leadership and proven capabilities in mentoring and developing staff in the early years sector.
  • Deep understanding of the EYLF and NQS
  • Current CPR, First Aid certificate and a current WWCC clearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and the team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences
