About the role

We are seeking an experienced early childhood educator to join our team at Five Senses Childcare in Colyton, NSW. This is a part-time role, with the opportunity to work flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. As an early childhood educator, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment for our children aged 0-5 years.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing a play-based curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children
  • Ensuring a safe, clean and stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive
  • Building strong relationships with children and their families to support each child's individual needs
  • Documenting children's learning and development through observations, portfolios and daily reports
  • Collaborating with the teaching team to continually improve the quality of our early childhood program

What we're looking for

  • A Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience working in an early childhood setting, preferably in a long day care or preschool environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families and the teaching team
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practices in early childhood education
  • First aid certification and a valid Working with Children Check
