Are you looking for a role that you can make your own? We are looking for a strategic leader to take on a newly created role to lead and manage the implementation of the Cleaning Services whole-of-government contract, ensuring compliance with KPIs, legislative obligations (e.g., WHS, Fair Work, Modern Slavery), and departmental policies.

The position offers an opportunity to lead a brand-new team, set up the foundational structure to achieve a real, which will have a visible impact by you setting the definitive standard for service excellence across Hunter and Central Coast Regions.

About the Role

You will lead a large cleaning services portfolio and provide strategic leadership to drive cleaning services operations across all Hunter and Central Coast sites. Day-to-day you'll lead contract performance, compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality cleaning services. About you

You're a proactive, people-focused leader who takes pride in delivering results and driving service excellence. You bring:

• Proven success leading multiple cleaning or facilities contracts, ensuring top performance and compliance with KPIs and legislation.

• In-depth knowledge of cleaning operations, compliance to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.

• Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, developing teams, and building a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to provide clear advice and insights on performance, risk, and improvement.

• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

• Current and valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to site locations.

• Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.

• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
