People & Culture Coordinator

At Arrow Transport & Logistics, our people are the driving force behind everything we do. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an energetic and people-focused People & Culture Coordinator to join our national HR team and help deliver an exceptional employee experience.

This role is based at our Port of Brisbane site and reports directly to the National People & Culture Manager. It is a national role supporting teams across Australia, ideal for someone who can work independently, build strong relationships, and collaborate confidently with managers and employees at all levels. You'll have the freedom to take ownership of your work while being fully supported by the People & Culture Manager.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering People & Culture processes across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on Employment Hero.

As our Employment Hero Champion, you'll ensure data accuracy, system utilisation, and an engaging experience for every employee.

This role is suited to someone with strong HR administration experience or an emerging HR professional ready to grow in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

What your day to day will look like:

Employee Lifecycle

• Manage onboarding from contracts and system setup to induction and probation.
• Act as the first point of contact for new starters, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in Employment Hero.
• Support managers with probation reviews and employee documentation.

HR Administration and Systems

• Champion Employment Hero across the business to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Prepare HR documentation including variation letters, policy updates, and internal communications.
• Ensure compliance with Arrow policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Employee Relations and Compliance

• Support the People & Culture Manager with employee relations conversations and documentation.
• Assist with the interpretation and application of Fair Work and Award requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.

Recruitment and Projects

• Coordinate recruitment activities including job ads, screening, and onboarding logistics.
• Assist with P&C initiatives such as engagement surveys, training, and policy rollouts.
• Support projects that enhance culture, wellbeing, and employee engagement.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline HR processes.
• Contribute new ideas that strengthen our people experience and internal efficiency.
• Play an active role in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.

About you:

• Experience in HR administration or coordination (transport or logistics experience advantageous).
• Degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Management (preferred)
• Solid understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
• Experience using Employment Hero is essential.
• Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Awards, and HR best practice.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with national teams.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and committed to confidentiality.
• Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about continuous improvement.
