About our role: We're seeking an accomplished industry professional to be our next Mining Operations Manager - leading operational performance across current and future open-pit projects. Reporting to the General Manager – Mining, you will set the standard for safety, production, cost and client satisfaction—while developing high-performing leaders and scaling capability for growth. You will contribute to the company's strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and embed our organisational values across the workforce. This highly visible position is central to supporting our strategic plan, leading transformation initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Your focus in this role: Full ownership of operations performance (safety, production, cost, quality) across one or more open-pit sitesLead and develop Project Managers, Superintendents and technical leaders; build succession and talent pipelinesDrive production planning and short-interval control, converting plan to tonnes with disciplineOversee asset strategy: fleet selection, mobilisation, utilisation & availabilityEmbed critical controls and statutory compliance, champion safety culture and visible leadershipManage contract delivery & client relationships; anticipate issues and de-risk schedulesAccountability for budgets, forecasting and P&L; deliver cost and productivity improvementsLift performance through FMS/telematics, data-driven insights, and continuous improvementSupport tenders, pricing and start-ups; ensure smooth transitions from award to steady stateWhat You'll Bring: Proven success leading open-pit mining operations in Australia (contractor or owner-operator)Engaging leadership presence with the ability to set direction, coach & mentor and influence stakeholdersStrong grasp of production systems, maintenance strategy, asset reliability and cost driversDemonstrated P&L responsibility, budgeting/forecasting and commercial acumenKnown for safety leadership and embedding organisational valuesDegree qualified in Mining Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)Comfortable moving between Perth and sites; decisive, data-driven, and calm under pressureWhat we offer: Permanent position with attractive Remuneration package including STI + LTI bonus + vehicle allowanceCollaborative and highly experienced leadership team.Opportunity to shape a growing portfolio and leave a legacy of performanceDefined succession planning and structured leadership development programsPerth-based with frequent site travel across WAThis is a great opportunity for a rewarding career and to be part of something BIG within an organisation experiencing a substantial period of growth.To be considered please submit a current CV along with a cover letter outlining your skills and experience.
