An Underground Mine Planning Engineer is required on a permanent basis, FIFO from Perth.

Location: FIFO from Perth, WA

Roster: 8:6

Employment Type: Permanent

Join a leading Australian gold producer with a reputation for operational excellence and a strong growth pipeline. We're seeking a skilled Mine Planning Engineer to support our clients' underground operations and contribute to the strategic planning and execution of mining activities.

Your Role:

  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term underground mine plans
  • Optimise stope designs, drill and blast strategies, and scheduling using Deswik
  • Collaborate with geology, survey, and production teams to ensure alignment of plans with operational targets
  • Provide technical input into budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-mine planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and mine design

What You Bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in underground mining environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Deswik software (design, scheduling, and analysis)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to safety and operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
  • Ability to work an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth
  • Current manual driving licence
