Mining:

The Position:
Reporting to the Mine Planning Service & Support Manager, within our Technical Service & Support division, you will join a small team supporting our customers for our MinePlan Product suite. As part of a global team, you will support both APAC and global customer accounts, inclusive of US/Canada/LATM.

In this role you will be responsible for the provision of technical support and high-value services for HxGN MinePlan software worldwide. In addition to the following areas;

Technical

• Service customers through delivering solutions and troubleshooting support across the MinePlan suite, for our global wide customer base.
• Develop and facilitate documentation to the Product Development team and assist in capturing and identifying information about software issues (defects) and requests for enhancements (RFEs).
• Effectively detect potential issues to offer solutions and responses to clients in the most timely and accurate manner regarding the use of HxGN MinePlan software worldwide.

Operational

• Attend and present product demonstrations at industry leading conferences or seminars.
• Collaborate with Sales/Business development on pre bid and post sale support.
• Ensure compliance with Hexagon Mining's Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself/herself and the safety of others
  where appropriate.

Customer Service

• Act as the advisor/interlink between Sales & Customers for ongoing optimised service offering opportunities
• Participate in on-call support activities (after hours). Rotational roster ½ per month.
• Maintain and embody a customer centric service mindset, partnering across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

This position is Perth CBD based however will require travel up to 30% across a year to our client sites. For on call support, it is a roster arrangement within the team with 1 per month weekend support inc of Public Holidays. As this is a global role you may support customer in other region and minimally attend Product Seminars out of time zone.

About you

If you are an experienced
Mine Engineer/ Geologist or Technical Sales Specialist
with experience in our MinePlan Product or similar software packages, with a depth of understanding on front end/operational planning for mining operations, we want to hear from you.

In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;

Technical

• Background in Mining operations and exposure to working with mine operating/planning software
• Experience in technical sales or service support roles, working in a client facing solution focused position.
• Experienced in working with multiple cross functional departments for sales/service support requirements, building a cohesive working culture
• Customer Centric with an analytical mindset and proactive solution focused approach to problem solving

General

• Self starter, with ability to manage portfolio and activities in a timely manner
• Travel (interstate and overseas) will be a requirement of this role to deliver services to clients at client sites. General time is 7-10 days, all flights/accommodation covered by business
• Valid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen

Desirable

• Bachelor's degree/Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineer or Geology, understanding of the production/Drill & Blast environment
• Experience working with HXGN MinePlan Software
• Experience with the Python programming language
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
