Bennco Group is an established business providing mining and construction services across Western Australia with four regional offices and an administrative office in Balcatta. We are seeking a Financial Accountant to work directly under the Chief Financial Officer. Primary responsibilities will include

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Analyze financial data and trends to assist the CFO in decision-making processes.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Manage the key financial functions such as AP, AR and Payroll. Note, a hands on approach will be required within these functions.

While there may be flexibility for the right candidate, it is expected that applicant will possess the below as a minimum.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA completion, or working towards completion.
  • Previous experience in financial accounting or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Xero. (Proficiency in Simpro would be a bonus, but is not essential).
  • Strong skills within all Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
