Hunter Manning are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer for an ongoing temporary opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process with a strong focus on reducing aged debt, improving cash flow, and ensuring best practices are in place. Our client requires an experienced professional who can hit the ground running and take full ownership of the AR function.

You will play a critical role in strengthening debtor relationships and will have the autonomy to implement improvements, manage collections, and drive results.

Key duties:

  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end accounts receivable function
  • Manage invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate billing
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding debts to improve cash collection and reduce debtor days
  • Maintain accurate customer records and reconciliations
  • Build strong customer relationships to support timely payments and resolve disputes professionally
  • Generate aged debtor reports, flag risks, and recommend actions
  • Work with internal teams to resolve invoicing and account issues
  • Support month-end reporting and AR ledger reconciliation
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and support audit requirements

About You:

  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable role with end-to-end responsibility
  • Strong background in credit control and cash collections
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive outcomes
  • Available to start immediately or on short notice
