Company Overview

Our Australian team consists of approximately 50 highly skilled engineers, and it is expanding rapidly due to the growth of large-scale PV projects. As we enter into new opportunities involving substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), our central engineering team in France will provide support to ensure smooth integration and implementation.

In this role, you will report daily to the
Deputy Civil Design Manager
in Australia.

Additionally, you will maintain frequent communication with the production team, ensuring cohesive collaboration and successful project outcomes.

Currently managing 300 MW of solar and storage assets across New South Wales, the portfolio is expected to scale rapidly to 1 GW. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong sense of ownership.

Position Overview

We are seeking a
Junior Civil Engineer
with a geotechnical focus to join our design team based in
Sydney
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects across Australia.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of specifications for geotechnical investigation, Pile load testing, Flood risk assessment.
  • Assist in review of RFP Package documents and perform preliminary design.
  • Support the team for Civil, Structural and Geotechnical design tasks for large scale PV and BESS projects.
  • Assist in the design of foundations for Single axis tracker structures, Inverters, Battery containers and Civil design tasks such as earthworks, drainage, access roads, and foundations.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation under supervision.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities for compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and environmental impact reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Internship or 0–2 years of experience in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of Civil engineering topics, specifically on Structural analysis and design, soil mechanics and foundation design.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ROBOT SA, LPILE or similar Civil/structural/geotechnical design tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across NSW and regional Australia.

Desirable Qualifications/Attributes:

  • Experience with design in PV and BESS projects.
  • Experience with working on the EPC scope of construction projects
  • Valid driver's licence in Australia.
