Safety Australia Group is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation in search of an experienced HSSEQ Quality Assurance & Systems Advisor to join their team based in Hamilton, QLD.
This role will report to the National HSSEQ Manager Oceania and play a key part in championing a Quality Assurance System.
About the Role:
The Quality Assurance & Systems Advisor will assist the HSSEQ Team and other key stakeholders to achieve safe establishment, operations, and continuous improvement of the overall HSSEQ performance.
The key focus of this role is to assist in the achievement of HSSEQ-related compliance and assurance tasks in maintenance of ISO Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Audit schedule and records, ensuring corrective actions are completed and internal audits are conducted.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain Verification of Competency (VOC).
- Record non-conformance, observations, and business improvement in our client HSSEQ Report system.
- Actively promote Integrated Management System to meet the Business Objectives and Targets.
- Champion a safe working culture and ownership for every employee.
- Active promotion and maintenance of BWS Integrated Management system including policies and processes to ensure ongoing ISO certification in ISO45001 OH&S, ISO14001 Environment and ISO9001 Quality.
- Provide reporting and recommendations.
- STOP the job for Safety and/or Environmental Harm.
- Support and maintain Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture including "Stop Work for Safety."
- Update and maintain training and competency records for operational personnel.
- Ensure training needs are suitably addressed and records maintained.
- Maintain Risk Register.
- Monitor appropriate processes to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Maintain Preferred Supplier list, including evaluation audits and records management.
- Build rapport with key stakeholders, including Project Teams, to ensure quality issues are addressed promptly.
- Conduct Quality Assurance checks to ensure optimal service delivery and investigate deviations as required.
- Follow defined WH&S policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
- Ensure personnel are aware of potential hazards to themselves and the workplace environment.
- Proactively maintain document registers to maintain compliance.
- Ensure understanding and compliance of client project requirements, including any specific policies, processes, and procedures.
- Undertake any other task as may be required for the development and promotion of our client / EP&P business activity, and for which appropriate support will be provided.
About You:
3+ years' experience in Quality Assurance/HSE (preferably in Transport & Logistics or Mining).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Complete understanding of our client values.
- English spoken and written.
- IT – Intermediate Office 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to gain and maintain a Criminal History clearance.

- Highly developed Delegation and Empowerment capabilities.
- Proven decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to represent the Company at all levels and build strong client and customer relationships.
