Cefn Pty Ltd is a progressive, family-owned and operated business specialising in all aspects of pig production. We have been farming the Clifton district since 1933, and today we employ over 120 staff across multiple sites located in the Clifton, Leyburn and Yelarbon areas.

Over four generations, Cefn has grown and developed into an integrated business that utilises modern technology and building design to provide optimal conditions for producing our market leading animals. The Cefn team is made up of field, technical and support staff. Working together, we ensure our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality, and efficiency. As a modern agri-business, Cefn also owns and operates its own genetics department, feed mill, transport, construction, and maintenance divisions.

This opportunity is based in the Yelarbon area, approximately 35 minutes from Goondiwindi and 30 minutes from Inglewood.

Your role

  • Install, fault find and maintain electrical control systems.
  • Conduct commercial & industrial installations projects and upgrades across all sites.
  • Test, fault find, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions.
  • Assemble electrical and electronic components and appliances.
  • Undertake installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematic drawings
  • Undertake all aspects of the Electrical Trade, including reactive and planned maintenance tasks

Your skills

  • Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Fitter Mechanic)
  • Driver's Licence Class C
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Understanding of control equipment and generators
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and at times with minimal supervision.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good general knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations
