GEMCO

Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a
Permanent position on a 4 days on:3 days off roster
, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns or residential on Groote Eylandt.

Domestic relocation to Alyangula, Darwin, or Cairns from anywhere in Australia is provided.

As the
Contracts Coordinator - Site Services
, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing Site Services' contracts and shutdown support to ensure seamless operations, supplier performance and safety standards are met.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Monitoring supplier performance, compliance and service delivery
  • Overseeing the management of all Township facilities including mining camps (1000 rooms), Supermarket, Aerodrome, Licensed Venue, greenspaces, transportation, cleaning and other facilities.
  • Coordinating Site Services requirements during shutdown periods
  • Reviewing budgets, cost controls and procurement processes
  • Leading internal communications and improvement initiatives

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Building strong working relationships & influencing across teams
  • Working knowledge of contract management processes and techniques
  • Managing suppliers and contracts in dynamic environments
  • Prioritising multiple deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Leading with a safety-first, solutions-focused mindset
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
