The Opportunity:

We are excited to be advertising a NEW position at ICYS - Family Support Worker - under a new partnership with the Ipswich Small Schools Cluster, supporting the families of Ipswich East and Tivoli State Schools.

The Family Support Worker will deliver targeted, holistic, in-home and community-based support to vulnerable families across the Ipswich Small Schools Cluster. While the family support worker will work with the entire family unit, the pilot initiative specifically targets families of students in Prep to Year 6, with the primary objective of improving student wellbeing, school readiness, attendance, and academic engagement by addressing complex family and environmental factors. This role can support families during and outside conventional school hours, including before and after-school hours, and will require outreach support to meet each family's needs.
