Stoddart Group are a leading supplier and installer of products to the residential building industry. A leader in what we do, Stoddart are the often unseen but ever-present backbone of the construction of a new home. This role is part of our National Estimating and Purchasing team and works closely with our amazing builders to ensure we're an efficient and valuable part of their build.

We don't just build homes; we build relationships, trust, and top-notch results. We're growing fast and need a sharp, motivated Estimator to help us quote with confidence, accuracy and attention to detail.

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, and result orientated Estimator, to join our team based at our Head Office in Darra, QLD on a full-time basis. To be successful in this role, you will be proactive, able to work to deadlines, manage your own workflow and work in a team environment. The successful candidates will also be able to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority in a high-pressure environment.

The role includes:

  • Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):
  • Reading and interpreting building plans to carry out quantity take offs using a CAD based system
  • Understanding customer specifications and providing appropriate solutions if required
  • Ensuring accuracy of customer documentation and compliance requirements
  • Estimating the materials and labour required on site specific jobs
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate qualities:

  • Experience in estimating residential construction
  • Construction industry & product knowledge
  • Methodical with strong attention to detail
  • Organised and accurate
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret building plans and 3D CAD models
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook
  • Sound knowledge and application of mathematics
  • Hands on experience with computer based estimating packages
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
