Australia Russell Kennedy Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lawyer or Associate to join our Public Law and Regulatory Compliance team in Melbourne.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice and representation to aged care providers, as well as the peak body and providers of services to the aged care industry.
  • Advice concerning regulatory compliance with the Commonwealth Aged Care Law scheme.
  • Representation in litigation matters including coronial inquests, VCAT proceedings and court proceedings.
  • Drafting regulatory compliance templates.
  • Involvement in the mentoring of both junior lawyers and law graduates, fostering their professional development and growth within our team.
  • Contributing to business development and marketing activities, including, but not limited to, attending networking events, presentations and writing articles.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Experience working in the health, aged care and / or disability law areas would be highly regarded, though not essential.
  • Sound legal analysis and drafting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts in a practical, client-friendly way.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a growing ability to think critically and contribute to problem-solving.
