The role

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Support Officer to join our Property & Land Development team on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact for our Property & Land Development customers, you'll provide high-quality support across a wide range of enquiries. Whether it's over the phone, via email, face-to-face, or through our Pulse system, you'll offer expert guidance and accurate information to ensure customers are well-informed and supported throughout their development journey.

You'll handle a diverse mix of queries, including but not limited to:

  • Connection and development enquiries via phone, email, face-to-face, and Pulse Cases
  • Asset and property sewerage plan information
  • Dial Before You Dig requests
  • Tapping bookings and meter installation enquiries
  • Service connection queries for potable water, recycled water, and sewerage
  • Sewer Backlog and ECO Connection Program support
  • Build-over asset enquiries
  • Preliminary advice on subdivisions, developments, and asset protection
  • Interpretation and communication of South East Water's policies and servicing guidelines

This is a 12 month maximum term opportunity.

This is a part-time position offering approximately 25 hours per week. Our ideal working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, however we're happy to offer flexibility for the right candidate.

Who are you?

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations
  • Proven experience in face-to-face customer interactions, including handling complex queries with professionalism
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a positive, customer-first approach
  • Ability to provide clear advice on South East Water's policies, procedures, and development guidelines
  • Understanding of the land and property development industry and its role within the community
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Water Act, Planning and Environment Act, Subdivision Act, and Melbourne Retail Water Agencies Codes

This role is remunerated at a Level 2, which is between $84,497 - $91,380 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
