Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Slater and Gordon Lawyers Full time

Content & Communications Specialist

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients: we are people caring for people.

Our commitment to our people includes offering genuine work-life balance, with a hybrid work environment allowing them to split their time between home and the office. We recognise and reward high performance and have outstanding employee benefits including a week of shutdown leave, paid parental leave, extra-long service leave, together with various ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

About the role

This role sits at the heart of our digital strategy, shaping the way clients connect with and experience our brand online. You'll be responsible for creating engaging, on-brand content that enhances our visibility, strengthens client engagement, and supports our broader growth and reputation objectives.

You'll act as the in-house copywriter, crafting compelling digital copy for web pages, blogs, and campaign landing pages that drive SEO performance and improve conversion rates. You'll also play a key role in the development and execution of content seeding strategies, ensuring our expertise reaches the right audiences and digital platforms. In addition, you'll manage and protect our online reputation by engaging with client feedback and reviews across key channels such as Google, TrustPilot, and Product Review.

What you'll do

  • Write, edit and optimise content for the website, digital campaigns and paid media channels to drive SEO/GEO performance and improve engagement.
  • Create and maintain a copywriting style guide aligned with the Slater & Gordon brand and tone of voice.
  • Support campaign activities by developing persuasive copy for landing pages, emails and social content.
  • Research and translate complex legal concepts into clear, client-friendly copy.
  • Develop and execute content seeding strategies to improve discoverability and digital reach.
  • Manage social media engagement by moderating and responding to comments and client reviews.

What are we looking for?

You'll bring a strong command of written communication, a flair for storytelling, and a sharp eye for detail. You have a deep understanding of how to write for digital channels, applying SEO best practices and UX principles to craft content that performs. You're confident translating technical or legal information into engaging, easy-to-understand content, and you take pride in maintaining accuracy and consistency. You're comfortable working autonomously, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders. Experience in a regulated or professional services environment, along with familiarity with CMS tools and keyword research platforms, would be highly regarded.

What next?

If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly to Slater and Gordon. We prefer to talk with you personally and are not accepting applications from recruitment agencies.
