Moneytech is a non-bank commercial lending business with a national presence, offering businesses working capital to help them grow.

We are seeking an experienced Collections and Legal Recoveries Officer Role act as a "2IC" to the Collections Manager, with future growth and leadership opportunities.

About you:

You have experience with commercial lending in Australia, ideally in a non-bank environment. This role is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the wider lending function, with accountabilities across the whole spectrum of loans (from origination to late-stage arrears). You're comfortable in the detail and realise that the more you understand something the better decisions you can make. You are outcome focused and care much more about the 'what' than the how, there are many solutions to the same problem.

The ideal candidate must have great communication skills, strong negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and enjoy problem solving.

Some of the responsibilities of role:

  • Instructing agents, law firms, and insolvency practitioners
  • Effective collections workflow management (from 0-30 all the way to 120+)
  • Payment plan negotiation and settlement

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience in non-bank commercial lending
  • A methodical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to get things done, either autonomously or within a team, depending on the circumstances
