Proximity, an SPA Australia company, is seeking an FOI Officer to work within a large Commonwealth agency.
Proximity clients often require the support of talented early career advisors. Responsibilities

- Assisting with the collation of information from computer systems and records in response to requests from external stakeholders.
- Assisting in the drafting of briefs and other documents such as public interest certificates to delegates to disclose protected information.
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of electronic legal files.
- Undertaking legal research to assist in the preparation of legal advice.
- Attending meetings and assisting with note taking.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and document management skills
- Coordination skills to help keep tasks on track
To be eligible for this role, you must hold — or be able to obtain — an Australian Government Security Clearance and be based in Canberra or Melbourne.
Over 1 years' experience working within government, consulting, or a professional services environment, ideally as a paralegal or in FOI, which will be highly regarded.
